After having been completely rebuilt in the 18th century following destruction by the Spaniards, Nassau was constantly besieged by pirates - first and foremost the famous Blackbeard. Stroll down Bay Street and admire the colonial-style buildings after shopping at Straw Market. Climb Queen's Ladder to Fort Fincastle before learning about pirate history in the Pirates of Nassau Museum.
